A spokesman for the Yuma Police Department told The Yuma Sun five people, including the shooter, died in the rampage.

“We had one shooting in Yuma city, that victim is dead. The county has other multiple scenes that they are working but four were confirmed dead in the county.”

Reuters reported the man was was angry of a divorce case and one of the dead was a prominent divorce lawyer.  He was reportedly shot and killed at his office not far from the Yuma Courthouse.

Authorities said the shootings began shortly after 9 a.m., Thursday, and stretched out over a two hour period.

The shootings come just five months after six people were killed and 13 were wounded, including Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, in a shooting rampage in Tucson, Arizona.
