Daycare safety issues still not published online by Ontario government

TORONTO, Ont. – Four years after promising to regularly publish any safety problems at daycares online, the provincial government has yet to follow through.

A Ministry of Education spokesman told The Toronto Star that the province is struggling with the mechanics of posting the information but should have it online in the near future.

The way the system is now, Parents can use a government website to check if a facility is licensed or if there are any conditions attached to the license but they cannot find out what problems may be behind the conditions.
