Man charged with murder of Thunder Bay man dies, coroner to call inquest

NORTH BAY, Ont. – A police investigation into a murder in northern Ontario is now turning into a coroner’s inquest
A Thunder Bay area man who was being held in a North Bay jail has died.
Dwane Turk was found in distress in his cell on Tuesday and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Coroner Dr. Peter Clark says a post mortem has taken place but he would not release any details.
Turk was charged with second-degree murder in the death last week of Christopher Jean, 32, near Elk Lake, north of Sudbury.
Jean was also from Thunder Bay.
