62-year-old dies after assault, suspect wanted in four other assault investigations

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have released the name of the city’s latest homicide victim.
According to police between Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, 62-year-old George Wass man was in the Queen Street West/Jameson Avenue area,
A man approached Wass and assaulted him.
The suspect then fled the scene.
Police say Wass collapsed in his home, Monday, and was taken to hospital where he later died.
A post-mortem examination concluded he died as a result of blunt force trauma.
Police say the suspect is wanted in four other assault investigations in the area.
A command post has been set up on Maynard Avenue at Leopold Street, in the Queen Street West/Jameson Avenue area.
