The Toronto Transit Commission has hired its first chief customer service officer.
Chris Upfold will begin his new role on May 30.
He comes to the TTC after nearly 10 years working in england for the London Underground. The London Underground has an annual ridership of just over one-billion.
He serviced in a variety of roles, most recently as head of revenue and inclusion where he was responsible for improvements focused on customer perception and satisfaction.
Upfold’s first task will be to implement recommendations from the customer service advisory panel set up last year to improve the TTC rider experience.
He will begin his new role with the TTC on May 30.
