Weekend subway closures

TORONTO, Ont. – Two different sections of the Spadina subway line will experience closures over the weekend.

There will be no subway service between Wilson and Downsview stations due to work associated with the Toronto-York Spadina subway extension.

The work is being conducted at Downsview station.

The closure will take place starting at 6 a.m. Saturday and will resume on Monday at 6 a.m.

Trains will be turning back at Wilson Station for southbound service only.

Shuttle buses will be running between the affected stations.

A Wheel-Trans bus will be on stand-by at Eglinton West Station (accessible station) for customers with mobility limitations requiring transit up to Downsview Station and back.

The Spadina line will also experience a temporary closure between St. George and St. Clair West stations on Sunday due to track work.

Subway service is scheduled to resume at 2 p.m.

Trains will turn back at St. George (southbound only) and at St. Clair West (northbound only).

Shuttle buses will run between St. George and St. Clair West Stations, stopping at St. Clair West, Dupont and Spadina subway stations.

There will be no impact to the Bloor-Danforth line as a result of this work.
