Orangeville woman recovering in Mexico hospital after shark attack

An Orangeville, Ont., woman is recovering in a hospital in Mexico after being attacked by a shark in waist-deep water off the coast of Cancun.
The Toronto Star reported the 38-year-old nurse was bitten in the left arm and leg. Her friends praise the medical care she’s getting.
The group of 10 belong to the same fitness class and were in Mexico to celebrate the 50th birthday of their instructor.
There are reports the female shark was pregnant and came close to shore to give birth.
The resort didn’t put up warning flags until after the incident.
