Gun found in car following crash near South Kingsway

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police brought in a specially-trained gun dog to sniff for weapons after finding a semi-automatic handgun that was tossed from a car involved in an early morning crash in the west end, Thursday.
Police tried to pull over a speeding car on the westbound Gardiner Expressway at around 3 a.m.
The suspect vehicle exited the highway at South Kingsway and spun out on control hitting a pole.
Three people are in custody.
Citytv reported Toronto police may call in the special investigations unit to handle the case.
