Court dismisses appeal of man who sexually assaulted his twin brother’s girlfriend

The Supreme Court of Canada won’t hear an appeal from an Ontario man convicted of sexual assault after he had sex with a woman who thought he was his identical twin brother.

The woman called out the name of the man who she thought was her boyfriend several times but when the man said nothing throughout the act she turned on the light, only to discover it was the man’s twin brother.

Earlier in 2010, the court of appeal for Ontario upheld his conviction and said the woman only consented to having sex with a man she was in a relationship with, not his twin.
