Arrest made in Vincent Dang homicide

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have arrested a man in connection with the city’s 57th murder of the year.

Investigators say 26-year-old Naveen Ariaratnam was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Pearson airport after arriving on a flight from Sri Lanka.

Ariaratnam has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Vincent Dang.

The 20-year-old York University student was killed on November 27, after being run over by an SUV in the entertainment district.
