Peel police locate truck involved in fatal hit-and-run

BRAMPTON, On. – Peel Police said they’ve located a truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Brampton on December 1.
Erica Carmichael, 31, was struck and killed while attempting to walk across the street at Torbram Road and Walker Drive.
A rig was turning right, from northbound Torbram to eastbound Walker, when it hit Carmichael before continuing on Walker.
She was struck again by a panel van that followed right behind.
Both vehicles left the scene.
The truck is undergoing forensic examination and the driver is being questioned, officers said.
Police are still searching for the rig. It has been described as bright white, with a sleeper-type cab and a 17-metre trailer.
