Girl sexually assaulted at Richmond Hill bus stop

RICHMOND HILL, Ont. – A man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in York Region.

Police said the 16 year old girl was waiting for a bus near Leslie Street and Major Mackenzie Drive, when a man sat down beside her in the shelter and began to touch her inappropriately.

However, police added that the girl still boarded the bus she was waiting for and got off at her intended stop. She was not physically injured.

Joma Adelyar, 61, faces one charge of sexual assault.
