Two teens dead after Scarborough house fire

TORONTO, Ont. – Two teenage girls have died after fire tore through a home in Scarborough, Saturday.

Police told 680News the first girl was pronounced dead at the scene, a second was in critical condition but later died in hospital.

Paramedics told 680News a third person, a male, was treated for smoke inhalation and is believed to have burns on his hands and on the bottom of his feet.

The two alarm blaze broke out shortly after noon at a home at 41 Kimbermount Drive the Kennedy and Finch area.

Police believe all three victims lived at the home.

Officials believe there were no working smoke alarms in the home.

The Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate the cause of the blaze.
