VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – An app is serving as a new weapon in the war on drunk dialing and tipsy texting.
Most of us have made a call or sent a text that we regret the next morning, but the Don’t Dial app can put a stop to that. Rogers Data Guy Mike says for 99 cents, it will block your phone from calling or texting someone at certain times.
“You can set a time [when] say, you don’t want to call your boss, and then you get your friends to enter a password. That way it’s protected from you, because you don’t even have the password and you can always call your friend and say hey i really need the password.”
Your friend can then decide whether to hand over the password, depending on your level of sobriety. Don’t Dial is only available for iPhone.
