Report: Canada is one of the top ten fattest nations

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is releasing shocking numbers on obesity rates around the world, with Canada coming in at number six.
Economist Franco Sassi explains, “More than half of the population is overweight and a large proportion, about a quarter, is obese in Canada.”
The only good news is obesity rates here are rising more slowly than other ‘fat’ nations like Mexico, the U.S., New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. All of those countries are ahead of Canada on the chubby list.
