TORONTO, Ont. – Trends show more world travellers are choosing Canada as their destination spot, while at the same time, less Canadians are travelling abroad.
Statsitics Canada released its June traveling reports on Thursday, which showed more people are coming north of the border, while less Canucks are leaving the country.
StatsCan said travel to Canada increased 1.5 per cent to two million trips in June.
The number of trips by Canadian residents abroad declined 1.1 per cent, mainly because of fewer trips to the United States.
