BURLINGTON, Ont. – A bail hearing is set for Friday morning for Ashley Kirilow, the woman accused of faking cancer for cash donations.
Kirilow’s lawyer Brendan Neil said the case of the 23-year-old has sparked plenty of anger, and he is concerned about her safety should she be granted bail and released.
Kirilow made a brief video court appearance Thursday in Milton.
Neil confirmed a man with tattoos covering his face came to the courthouse, offering to post bail for Kirilow, but refused to say if he knew her personally.
The 23 year old faces four counts of fraud.
