Consistent Internet use linked to depression in teens

Researchers in Australia believe teens who spend a significant amount of time online may be putting themselves at risk of depression.

In the study, constant use of the Internet was linked to relationship and health problems, as well as aggressive behaviour in addition to other psychiatric symptoms.

The study’s lead author said the results show even more reason for parents to keep a close eye on their children’s online behaviour.

If there is any concern about problematic use, researchers recommend seeking professional help as soon as possible.
