Toronto police search for missing one-year-old, allegedly abducted by mother

TORONTO, Ont. – Police are investigating the potential parental abduction of a one-year-old.

Emilia Sardaru, 23, and her son, Robin, were last seen on July 23 at 10 p.m. in the Dawes Road and Danforth Avenue area.

Police told 680News the Children’s Aid Society took temporary custody of the child while his mother worked through a shoplifting charge in York Region.

The child was placed with a relative and it’s alleged the woman took off with the little boy during a visit on July 23.

Sardaru is of Romanian descent and speaks limited English.
