OTTAWA, Ont. — Canada’s national unemployment rate was 7.9 per cent in June.
Here’s what happened provincially (previous month in brackets):

- Nova Scotia 8.8 (8.7)
- New Brunswick 9.3 (8.8)
- Quebec 7.8 (8.0)
