General Motors sales drop in the U.S.

DETROIT, Mich. – In another sign that the American economy has stalled, General Motors has reported that sales have dropped almost 13 percent from May to June.

However, this is good news for those looking to purchase a vehicle, as automakers may be forced to offer better deals later in the summer.

The decline results from sales that were pulled ahead due to higher incentives early in 2010.

However, the Detroit Three – Ford, General Motors and Chrysler – all reported that sales were up from last year over the same period.
