Toronto police host community barbeque

TORONTO, Ont. – Members of the Toronto police “TAVIS” unit will be grilling up hot dogs and serving punch as they meet members of the community today.

Their annual launch barbecue is being held in Scarborough between 11 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Cougar Court, which is in the Markham Road and Eglinton Avenue area.

The event is a great way for people to meet the officers and create long lasting relationships with them, explained Sgt. Jeff Pearson.
