Men impersonating police officers rob two men in North York

TORONTO – Police are making the public aware of a robbery investigation, after three men posed as police officers in two separate incidents and robbed victims of their cash.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, men responded to online ads for female companionship in the Bathurst and Finch area of North York.

Once the men arrived – both at different times, they were approached by three men who identified themselves as officers. They handcuffed the victims and then took their money.

The suspects are described as white, and 25 to 35 years old. Anyone with information is asked to contact 32 division or Crime Stoppers.

Police want to remind the public that if they are approached by a police officer who is not wearing an official uniform, they should request photo and badge identification.
