Woman found with critical injuries in Hamilton

HAMILTON, Ont. – Hamilton police are investigating after a woman was found at a downtown bookstore, suffering from critical injuries.
Police said a customer became suspicious on Tuesday afternoon, when no one was on duty at the High Times bookstore.
The customer flagged down a cruiser, and the officer discovered the 31 year old female store owner in “obvious medical distress”.
Police have not disclosed the nature of the woman’s injuries.
Investigators have not yet been able to speak to her, but they believe her condition resulted from a criminal act.
Police are looking into surveillance video for help in the investigation.
