OPP release composite sketch of victim in 35-year-old murder case

TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Provincial Police have released a new composite sketch of a still unknown victim in a 35-year-old murder case.

Back in 1975, a local farmer found the body of a female floating in the Nation River, near Highway 417 in Casselman, Ont.

Police believe that the victim, known as the “Nation River Lady,” was thrown from the westbound highway.

The victim was wearing only an undershirt and carried no identification. A television cable was wrapped around her neck.

“It’s a new composite that is based on the actual photo of the deceased female, and we’re hoping to solicit some assistance from the public,” OPP Det.-Insp. Guy Faucher told 680News.

He said he hopes the new picture will bring in new leads.
