Toronto councillor hands out bumper stickers that attack Premier for halting funds to improve TTC

TORONTO, Ont. – The knives have come out in the city’s battle to have billions of dollars in provincial transit funding restored.
Councillor and former TTC chair, Howard Moscoe, is handing out bumper stickers that show a silhouette image of a man with three knives sticking out of his back.
It reads: “Stabbed in the back by Dalton McGuinty.”
The bumper stickers are in response to Premier Dalton McGuinty’s move to delay Transit City funding until the economy is better; However, Moscoe said he has heard that brush off before.
“Delay or defer is simply a weasel word for ‘get lost’ I’ve been through too many of these transit promises to not feel angry about it,” he told 680News.
He also said he makes no apologies for the image on the bumper sticker, which he drew himself.
“I’ve never been known to be subtle,” he explained.
Moscoe used a thousand dollars of his office budget to pay for the stickers.
