Health Canada warns about Northern Essences foaming baby wipes

TORONTO, Ont. – Health Canada has issued a warning about the foaming baby wipes solution made by Northern Essences of Georgia.

The government agency said they’re contaminated with bacteria that could cause urinary tract infections, skin infections or more serious complications for anyone with a weakened immune system.

Retailers are being told to remove the wipes from their shelves immediately.

The foaming baby wipes solution is in a clear bottle with a white label and UPC 2008100227.

The following four Canadian retailers sell the product:

  • Boutique Pousse-Pousse (Longueil, Que.)
  • Calins et Popotin (Montreal, Que.)
  • A Mother’s Touch (Ottawa, Ont.)
  • Vive la vie (Ste-Marie de Beauce, Que.)

The product may also be sold in other stores and online.
