TORONTO, Ont. – A province-wide seatbelt blitz begins Wednesday with the focus on keeping children safe.
Police said 80 per cent of child car seats have been improperly installed.
The statistics also showed that for every one per cent increase in seatbelt use, five fewer people died in car crashes.
The penalty for not buckling up is a fine of $240 and two demerit points.
