TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have arrested two suspects in a number of armed robberies, including one that left two seniors who ran a jewelry store with serious injuries.
Kemuel Joseph, 25, and Revnel Nelton Charles, 19, both of Toronto, were to appear in court Friday charged with robbery, aggravated assault, forcible confinement and other offences.
Back on Feb. 26, two armed men — one with a shotgun, the other a handgun — robbed a jewellery store and badly beat the senior employees who are still recovering from their injuries.
In a raid linked to the case Thursday, a Toronto police officer suffered a severed finger when another officer hit it with a sledgehammer as police were trying to break down a door to enter a building.
Raids were also carried out at other locations.
Police are seeking a third suspect, Tyson Joseph, 20, who’s wanted for 10 counts of robbery who they say may be in St. Lucia.
