Stabbing claims life of teenage boy in Durham

A 16-year-old boy has been killed after he was stabbed in the Rossland and Stevenson roads area, Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses said the victim was stabbed after he and another student got into an argument at a bus stop outside Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic high school. Both were students at the school.

Durham Regional Police said the teen was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect.

The victim’s identity is not being released until his family is notified.
