Four suspects sought in Oshawa home invasion

OSHAWA, Ont. – Durham police are hunting for four suspects after a violent home invasion in Oshawa overnight.

The masked men slipped into a home on Gibbons Street, in the Adelaide Avenue West and Stevenson Road North area, using an unlocked side door just before midnight.

A husband and wife and their children were asleep in bed at the time.

When the man and woman woke up, they were forced to the floor at gunpoint.

The man was beaten over the head with the gun.

At one point, the 32-year-old male victim struggled for control, dragging one suspect outside and onto the front yard before the suspects took off.

No shots were fired and no one was seriously hurt.

Some money and a laptop computer were taken.
