Certain Sun Bird brand spices recalled due to salmonella fears

TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a voluntary recall of certain Sun Bird brand seasoning mixes because they may be contaminated with salmonella.
The products, which are made with black pepper, have been recalled by U.S. company, Mincing Overseas Spice Company.
The products include Sun Bird Thai fried rice, chop suey and chow mein spices.
There have been no reports of illness.
