Tiger Woods gives first two interviews, first time since sex scandal

Two short interviews with golfer Tiger Woods were aired on television Sunday night.

It was the first time Woods answered questions since the sex scandal, one that has cost him his reputation, sponsors and fans.

Dressed in golf clothes, Woods gave interviews to ESPN and the Golf Channel. Each interview was just over five minutes long.

Woods admitted to ESPN he’s nervous about how he’ll be received when he returns to golf in April at the Masters.

With tired eyes, Woods said he was living a lie and his behaviour was disgusting. He said he alone is responsible for his downfall and that no one in his inner circle knew what was going on.

When asked by the Golf Channel about how the public scrutiny made him feel, Woods said, “It was hurtful, but then again, you know what, I did it, I’m the one who did those things, and looking back on it now, with a more clear head, I get it.”

Woods was still sketchy about what exactly happened the night he crashed his SUV outside his Florida home back in November. He said it’s all in the police report, and that there’s a lot that will remain private between him and wife, Elin.
