Mother and daughter dead in shooting near Belleville, 18-year-old suspect arrested

Provincial police have identified the victims of a double murder near Belleville, Ont., Friday.
Tracy Hannah, 46, and her 14-year-old daughter, Whitney, were found dead in the family’s home in the small community of Mountain View.
An 18-year-old woman was airlifted to Kingston General Hospital where she is listed in serious but stable condition.
While an 18-year-old Belleville man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Police said the suspect knew the Hannah family, but wouldn’t go into further detail. They also won’t name the 18-year-old woman who is in hospital; however, she’s believed to be Tracy’s other daughter.
Jen Snider lives down the road from the Hannah family and said she can’t believe what happened.
“It is a very quiet street. This is very very out of character for this area.”
According to police, the victims were found at around 6 a.m. ET when they responded to a 911 call about a shooting at the home.
The suspect was arrested about three hours after the shooting and 30 kilometres away in Trenton, Ont.
