Winter’s over, Environment Canada declares

Environment Canada has declared winter over.

Climatologists are calling it the warmest and driest in more than 60 years.

The national average temperature for this past winter was 4 degrees above normal.

The previous record was set in the winter of 2005-06 at 3.9 degrees.  

Precipitation across the country down to 22 per cent below normal since records were first being kept in 1963.
