WB Hwy. 401 re-opens between Hwy. 404 and Allen Road

TORONTO, Ont. – The westbound Highway 401 express lanes have re-opened between Highway 404 and Allen Road following a tractor-trailer rollover, Tuesday.
The closure lasted over 10 hours.
The tractor-trailer was heading westbound on the express lanes around midnight when it slammed into the centre crash barrier, flipped onto its side, and spilled its load of particle board across all three lanes.
A piece of the truck’s front bumper was torn off on impact and wrapped around the crash barrier, which separates the westbound express and collector lanes.
The driver was not injured in the crash, but has been charged with careless driving.
