VANCOUVER, B.C. – Canada is perfect no more. After five straight wins to open the Olympics, Cheryl Bernard’s rink finally suffered its first loss, a dramatic 6-5 extra end decision to the reigning world champions from China.
“Disappointing,” summed up Bernard. “We did say that if we had a loss in these five games starting today, that it probably wouldn’t hurt us so we just need to keep it to that. We have a tough game [Monday].”
