Peel Regional Police say they have arrested a man who was wanted for arson in a fire that was set outside Conservative MP Bob Dechert’s office in Mississauga, Ont.
No serious injuries were reported in the Feb. 3 blaze but about 250 occupants had to be evacuated from the office building.
Police say there was $5 million worth of damage to the building.
An arrest warrant for Mikhail Khavkine, 42, of Mississauga was issued Feb. 5.
Police say Khavkine was arrested at Pearson International Airport early this morning.
He has made a court appearance and was remanded into custody.
