Police have arrested a suspected thief who pushed an elderly woman to the ground while he made his getaway from a grocery store two weeks ago in the Morningside and Milner avenues area.
Security camera images helped police find a 34-year-old Toronto man who is now charged with aggravated assault and theft.
Police alleged the man stole items from the store on February 1, assaulted a security guard and pushed a 79-year-old woman the ground outside the store.
She suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
