Woman faces three charges in assault investigation

A 49-year-old woman is facing assault charges after a mother and her child were pushed toward the tracks at the Bay subway station, Friday morning.

The 33-year-old mother was pushing her six-month-old child in a stroller at around 11:40 a.m. on the westbound platform when they were attacked.

They managed to avoid falling to the track level.

Anne Carruthers, of Toronto, was arrested by TTC constables.

She has been charged with one count of assault and two counts of mischief endangering life.

Carruthers has a court date scheduled for Saturday morning.
