Ontario Hospital Association says it needs two per cent funding increase

You know it’s getting close to provincial budget time when hospitals start rattling the money tree.

The Ontario Hospital Association is warning beds will be closed and health services cut if hospitals don’t get at least a two per cent funding increase this year.

The Association’s president told the legislature’s finance committee Tuesday that’s the absolute minimum necessary to maintain health system stability and access to patient care.
