Negotiations being made to avoid strike at Ontario community colleges

The Premier is calling on negotiators for Ontario’s 24 community colleges and the union that represents their nine-thousand teachers to reach a contract settlement.
Dalton Mcguinty says he’s encouraging both sides to do everything they can to avoid interfering with students’ learning.
A provincial mediator is working with the two sides in an effort to resolve the impasse.
A strike would affect at least 200-thousand full-time college students at campuses across Ontario.
