Man hit by streetcar in critical condition

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a streetcar.
The incident happened just after midnight Saturday on Queen near Broadview.
Police say the 35-year-old pedestrian was talking on his cell phone when he was hit.
CityNews reports that he was thrown almost two and a half meters.
Earlier Saturday night, a 25-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in the Don Mills and Sheppard area. She’s recovering.
On Friday, a 57-year-old man on crutches was killed after being hit by a dump truck in the east end.
He was the twelfth person to die in the GTA in the last month alone.
