Back to court for Cpl. Monty Robinson

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – One of the four Mounties who tasered Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver Airport is set to appear before a judge again. Corporal Benjamin “Monty” Robinson has an appointment in Surrey Provincial Court later this morning related to a fatal crash in Tsawwassen in 2008.  He is accused of attempting to obstruct justice.

Members of the B.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists plan to be outside the courthouse to protest the Crown’s decision not to pursue drunk-driving charges against the officer.  Orion Hutchinson, a 21-year-old motorcyclist, died in the crash.
