Mother hit by car and killed after pushing baby out of the way

A woman has been struck and killed by a car in the city’s west-end, Tuesday. The accident happened after she managed to push the stroller containing her baby out of the way of the oncoming vehicle.

The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. in the Martin Grove Road and Eglinton Avenue area.

Toronto police Const. Hugh Smith told 680News the woman was trying to cross the street with her child at the time.
