Recent "john sweep" results in ten arrests

Ten people have been charged after a prostitution sweep in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police said officers began their investigation into active “johns” earlier this month.

Their probe was focused in the Queen St. and Kennedy Rd. area of Brampton.

The following suspects were arrested and charged on Dec. 1, 2009:

  • Narayan Sharma, age 41, of Brampton
  • Nadel Johnson, age 31, of Toronto 
  • Elvis Samms, age 39, of Brampton 
  • Jose Montano, age 49, of Brampton 
  • Dexter Mohan, age 44, of Brampton 
  • Bras Dasilva, age 50, of Brampton

While the following suspects were arrested and charged on Dec. 8, 2009:

  • Jeff Cordeiro, age 22, of Georgetown
  • Donald Bridgemohan, age 39, of Brampton
  • Amrit Pal, age 39, of Brampton
  • Sukhpal Brar, age 40, of Brampton

All of the suspects were charged with one count of communication for the purpose of prostitution.
