Gunman sought after shooting in west-end leaves one woman dead

Toronto police are searching for a gunman after a woman was shot to death in the city’s west-end Monday.
The 45-year-old woman was shot near a white Ford pickup truck, while her two-year-old child was in the vehicle.
The child was unharmed, and is in the custody of the Children’s Aid Society.
Police said the shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. at the entrance of an underground parking garage, located at a high-rise apartment building on Weston Road, just north of Lawrence Avenue.
The victim was shot in the back of the head and found lying in a pool of blood next to her SUV.
Police are looking for the suspect who is described as male, black, wearing a hoodie and grey track pants.
