TORONTO, Ont. - The last day for candidates to enter the Toronto municipal election is Friday.
This applies to candidate nominations for mayor, city councillor and school board trustee.
Nominations close at 2 p.m. on Friday for those who want to enter or withdraw from the election.
The election will be held on Monday, Oct. 25.
A final list of candidates will be posted on the city's
election website by 4 p.m. on Monday.
There are 84 seats to be filled: one mayor, 44 councillors and 39 school board trustees. As of Wednesday, there were 418 candidates running for City Council and school board trustee.
