TORONTO, Ont. - The candidates in the race to become the next mayor of Toronto officially declared their intentions back in January, but the big push gets underway, Tuesday.
The next few weeks will be critical for those in the race.
The final sprint between now and Thanksgiving weekend is historically the time when undecided voters make up their minds.
Recent polls have put the number of undecided at between 21 and 30 per cent.
Candidates have been bulking up their budgets all summer long and will unleash the radio, newspaper and television advertisements, in addition to lawn signs. The number of debates will increase as well.
680News will co-host three debates leading up to election day. The first one is on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the MaRS Centre on College Street.
Live video streaming will be available on 680News.com.
