Two dead after cargo plane crashes outside Dubai

DUBAI, U.A.E. - The crash of a UPS aircraft has resulted in the death of both crew members on board.
The crash happened 15 kilometres southeast of the Dubai international airport immediately after take off.
The state news agency said the plane went down in an unpopulated desert area close to a busy highway intersection. It was also reported that the bodies of both pilots were found at the scene, but this was not confirmed by UPS.
Meanwhile, witnesses told Al Jazeera Television that the plane went up in flames when it crashed.
UPS has dispatched an investigative team to the scene, while a Dubai-based spokesman for the General Civil Aviation Authority says officials are already looking into the crash.
